this branch of the Pentastar Alignment's Chamber of Order was established to ensure that the New Republic was unable to reclaim any former Imperial star systems. Moff Ardus Kaine feared that the fragmented Empire, in the wake of the Battle of Endor, had become too worried about confronting the Republic with direct force, and established the Insurrection branch to use deception and misinformation to ensure the Republic received false and incomplete information.
