this man was a professor of archaeology at the Naboo Royal House of Learning, just prior to the Battle of Naboo. He spent part of his tenure researching the ruins which were hidden in the swamps of Naboo, hoping to learn more about the ancient inhabitants of the planet. He was captured by the smugglers who were illegally exporting Nabooan fauna off-planet, but was rescued by Rann I-Kanu and Galak.
