Bogey
an amorphous creature that lived in the Kessel spice mines, the bogey resembled a bouncing ball of light. For many years, the existence of the bogey was strongly debated as a figment of the feeble minds of the beings imprisoned on Kessel. Rumors of similar creatures surfaced on many worlds, but Kessel was the first to actually report it. Bogeys seemed to be made of pure energy, and fed on the glitterstim spice which was found in Kessel's crust and mantle. Their bouncing, bobbing movement resulted from the bogey's consumption of spice, moving from veins to vein and absorbing it directly into its body. They were oblivious to the beings that worked in the mines, but any contact with the bogey resulted in an electrical discharge that could accidentally harm the being.
