this was a notorious band of alien pirates which was operative during the height of the Galactic Civil War. A band of Jinwa Raiders was defeated by a shipful of droids, when C-3PO and R2-D2 were forced to pilot an Alliance transport to Ladro. The pirates' attack killed the small command crew, but the droids managed to avoid capture and reach Ladro unharmed.
