J'Mer Sab
this resistance group, whose name meant "Night Wind," rose up among the Gorothite people shortly after the Battle of Yavin. Formed from Gorothites who feared the high attrition rate of the K'Len J'Bar Kasoon, the J'Mer Sab also attracted some members from the Gor'Jen'Ar. In reality, however, the J'Mer Sab was privately set up and funded by Imperial Governor Marsh Limoth. Limoth hoped to attract a sufficient number of prominent Gorothites before "raiding" the group, arresting its members and striking a blow against the legitimate resistance. In this way, he hoped to gain a significant political victory, earning him more funding and latitutde from his Imperial superiors. The Alliance, as part of Operation Starbird, set out to infiltrate and break up the J'Mer Sab before Limoth could act.
