Prominence
this Corellian Engineering Corporation Republic Cruiser was one of the Old Republic ships dispatched to Asmeru to root out the Nebula Front, about a year before the Battle of Naboo. This ship transported Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a team of Jedi to Asmeru, at the behest of Chancellor Valorum. In order to escape a trap laid by the Nebula Front, the pilot and co-pilot were forced to jettison the salon pod in its nose to distract the fighters harassing it. In the resulting explosion, the Prominence was able to break the tractor-beam lock but was shot by a planetside ion cannon. It skimmed the surface of a lake and was forced to land when two of its three engines were damaged.
