this elder race of sentient reptiles was known to have developed the Infinite Gates. In ages past, the Kwa discovered the very secrets of the cosmos, and used them to create the Gates and the Star Chambers which powered and protected them. However, their civilization declined rapidly after the formation of the Gates, and they began sealing them up in an effort to ensure that the Gates woudn't fall into the wrong hands. It was later discovered that the Kwa bred the great whuffa worms to protect the Star Chambers and the Gates. The Kwa were also believed to be the ancestors of the Blue Desert People.
