this Tarasin female was the Irstat-Kes of the Hiironi tribe until her mother was killed by a kilassin. Meirana was slightly older than her sister, Dariana, and was named Mother. Within a day of these events, Meirana died of a mysterious illness, and Dariana was then named Mother in her place.
