Zelosian
an near-human race native to the planet Zelos II. The Zelosians guard a wonderful secret about their heritage: they are descended from an intelligent race of plants, and have a liquid form of green chlorophyll for blood. They cannot consume sguar, for it acts like alcohol in their bloodstream. The eyes of every Zelosian are emerald green, and are incapable of seeing in the dark. This night-blindness has created a species-wide fear of the dark, and remain hidden indoors after the sun goes down. The average Zelosian was quite superstitious, with a variety of beliefs which would seem ridiculous to the modern being.
