this freighter was designed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation, but was eventually phased out in favor of the YT-1300. The designs for the YT-1200 were later sold to Nova-Drive, which modified them and produced the #3-Z light freighter. Many of these ships found used as suborbital transport craft, used for carrying cargo from one city to another.
