this tribe of Force-sensitives lived on modern-day Ossus. The Ysanna were the descendants of those few Jedi who managed to survive the cataclysmic events of the Great Sith War, and were able to harness some amount of the Force for their own use. The warrior-priests of the Ysanna used The Force to guide their out-dated projectile weapons, helping them obtain food and defend themselves. Their history showed that many of their ancient ancestors arrived on Ossus just following the Great Sith War, and survived the devastation wrought on the planet during the Clone Wars. The Ysanna had a bond with the tree-like, ancient Jedi Master Ood Bnar, who also survived the planet's many trials and was still alive when Luke and Kam discovered the Ysanna youths Jem and Rayf. Most Ysanna considered themselves part of a single tribe, and often added the surname "Ysanna" when referring to themselves.
