Yavin 8
one of three inhabitable moons of Yavin, Yavin 8 had a rocky, mountainous terrain which was home to a number of species of grazers and the Melodie people. Much of its ecosystem was tundra, with most of the planet's abundant water supply frozen into snow or ice. The moon measured 11,400 kilometers in diameter, and orbited Yavin at an average distance of 560,342 kilometers. It orbited Yavin once every 1.14 Coruscant years, and its day encompassed 21 standard hours. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, Yavin 8 was ravaged by the alien invaders, and those Melodies who lived on the moon were exterminated.
