this race of lupine beings was created by DakrStryder to serve as warriors and guardians. One of the most successful races engineered by DarkStryder, the furred Yapi eventually developed their own civilization, which became infinitely divided amongst itself. Factions of Yapi warriors formed and dissolved, each with loyalty or hatred toward DarkStryder, and virtually every tribe of Yapi was at war with one other tribe at any time. Despite their warring nature, Yapi maintained a period of peace among the tribes to trade and exchange information, as well as to form and eliminate tribes. The average Yapi was highly superstitious, holding the connection to the Ta-Ree energy in awe, as a power reserved only for the shaman of each tribe. When the crew of the FarStar arrived on Kathol to defeat Imperial Moff Sarne and DarkStryder, the Yapi willingly lent their assistance. They found themselves working with the Charr Ontee and the Zizimaak, even though the Yapi considered the Zizimaak a source of food.
