this 500-year-old Hutt was a vigo of the Black Sun organization shortly before the Battle of Naboo, having survived Darth Maul's virtual destruction of the organization. He controlled several upscale bars and restaurants on Coruscant, including the Tusken Oasis, and was a collector of fine antiquities. He was known to be in the market for an authentic Jedi Holocron, and learned that Lorn Pavan might be in possession of one. However, Lorn was unable to seal a deal with Zippa the Toydarian, and the chain of events eventually led to Lorn's involvement with Hath Monchar and Darth Maul. Yanth was later approached by Lorn, who had obtained a crystal holocron containing the information from Monchar on the Trade Federation's plans to blockade the Naboo System. Before he could sell the information, Yanth was confronted by Darth Maul, who calmly sliced Yanth's heart from his body before retaking the holocron.
