Yaka
a race of almost-human cyborgs, altered centuries ago by their neighbors, the Arkanians, to be smarter via cyborg implants. They are expressionless beings, having been significantly altered by the technology which dominated their bodies. It is believed that they were originally humans or humanoids from a planet near Arkania, and that the technologically advanced Arkanians took pity on them. To help them along, the Arkanians began implanting cybernetic replacements in their brains, hoping to give the Yaka heightened intelligence. The procedures worked, and the average Yaka of the modern era is vastly more intelligent than they appear.
