this Jawa was a long-time rival of Kalit. As the leader of his tribe, Wittin plotted with Jabba the Hutt to eradicate Kalit. When Jabba began staging demolition derbies between various combatants, Wittin entered the contest with a remote-controlled STAP. Jabba promised that, if Wittin could win the event, he would give the Jawa a new sandcrawler. In order to ensure his chances, Wittin mounted an armed battle droid to the STAP.
