this flying reptile was native to the planet Xend, where it spent much of its life catching and eating insects. Measuring about 80 centimeters across its wingspan, the winged xendrite had long, thick bodies and short legs, and relied heavily on their wings to move about. It was believed that their legs and tail were used simply to grasp tree branches. They used their sticky tongues to catch insects. They had to natural predators, and their population was maintained by the amount of insect life available. As insect populations dropped, so did xendrite populations, and vice versa. While this ecological balance worked on Xend, other planets were environmentally unprepared to handle the inadvertent xendrite populations which sprang up as the creatures were imported to other worlds.
