this woman was Amidala's grandmother, and was known as one of Theed's best cloth weavers. Winama and Amidala shared a special bond which spanned the intermediate generation, Amidala's father. He was a farmer at heart, but both Winama and Amidala loved the city. Winama died when Amidala was thirteen, about a year before the young woman was elected Queen of Naboo.
