nicknamed the Bantha droid because of its slow, stubborn manner, the WED-9-M1 was originally sold as a security and maintenance droid. A modified WED-9-M1 was purchased by DeMaals from the Jawas on Tatooine, and was used to patrol Docking Bay 94.
