this was the name given to the numerous Treadwell droids produced by Cybot Galactica. The basic WED-series was a rolling, six-armed robot used to perform menial tasks. There are a number of different sizes in production. Smaller models perform household tasks, while the 500- and 600-series are built to withstand the pressures of working in an antimatter furnace. The most appealing feature of this series was the variety of manipulator arms that could be installed, as well as the easy with which they could be interchanged. However, the WED series was fragile at best,and required continual maintenance to remain operating at its optimal abilities.
