known as a Webby droid, this specialized thrid-degree automaton was programmed to tutor beings in the operation of a variety of mechanical vehicles. Specifically, the WBY-102 was designed to teach the sailing, maintenance, and navigation of a multi-crewed sailing yacht. The Webby was equipped with a water-tight plastic shell, as well as a homing beacon and distress signal which activated in the event of an emergency.
