this balding, middle-aged Imperial Navy Captain served aboard the cruiser Requital during the early days of the New Republic. He was on duty when the Requital intercepted the Messenger shortly after the Empire retook Coruscant, hoping to discover Republic contraband. Instead he found that the Messenger was a courier ship for the Coure Courier Service, and let the ship go. Voldt was unaware that the ship's passenger was none other than Jak Bremen of the New Republic.
