this Gran was a noted poet, who managed to bypass the normal Gran social structure and avoid being a fluidics technician. He was engaged to marry the Gran named Cera Vixe, but her brother, Boe Vixe, refused to let the marriage take place. He hired a group of freelance spacers to rescue himself and Cera from Kinyen, in an effort to escape Boe's influence.
