the eldest member of a family which paid a group of Alliance agents to transport them off Demophon, Andus was a research technician with the Shankti Drive Works. As such, he was almost guaranteed passage off the planet, but his family was not included in those plans. So, they hired the Alliance agents to get them all off at once, before the G'uotr Network and/or YTumleh Navigation could apprehend them.
