this Ugnaught, a former slave and the leader of the multitude of Ugnaughts who lived and worked on Cloud City, discovered how to use the carbon-freezing technique on humans. He worked with Imperial forces, with E-3PO acting as an intermediary, to make the modification. This allowed Darth Vader to freeze Han Solo, and then freeze Luke Skywalker.
