Tyrann
the supreme master of the Serpent Masters, Tyrann considered himself a humble host as well as the arbitrator of life and death on the planet Ophideraan. His warriors held sway over a workforce of slaves that maintained the drilling and water extraction equipment that supplied them with whatever moisture could be taken from the planet's mantle. Tyrann controlled the serpents with a special transmitter hidden in an amulet he wore around his neck. He was overthrown by Luke Skywalker and Tanith Shire after Luke discovered the amulet's powers. Shortly thereafter, R2-D2 discovered how to duplicate the control codes. In a battle with Luke, Tyrann lost the medallion and leapt to recover it. However, he misjudged his leap, and fell to his death.
