Tunnel Worm
this bioluminescent lifeform was encountered by the crew of the FarStar, deep inside an alien construct located within the Kathol Rift. They lived in unusual streams and rivers running through the construct, absorbing nutrients through their permeable skin. It was later discovered that the tunnel worms were descended from a bio-engineered worm which was created to clean the water supply of the construct. When the original builders abandoned the construct, the tunnel worms continued to evolve on their own.
