any small starship that is designed to moved large containers and freighters around in deep space supply stations. Most tugs are about 5 meters in length, and resemble teardrops. Their maximum sublight speed is around 10 MGLT, but speed is not of the essence as much as maneuverability. These unshielded craft are equipped with two small repulsors slung underneath the craft's nose. These are used to nudge the larger cargo ships around.
