TT-40
this library droid was produced by TelBrinTel for use in retrieiving information. It was given little data storage capacity, being designed to provide information on a by-request basis. The TT-40 was equipped with a wide, repulsorengine base that supported a switchboard assembly. The TT-40 used a TelBrinTel proprietary interface, and stored incoming data on a trio of data wheels which spun as the droid worked. Early in their production, TT-40 droids were prohibitively expensice, but were often subsidized by governmental programs to further education.
