Tsik Vai
this was the name given to the small, skyhopper-like ground vehicles which were created by the Yuuzhan Vong. Like all Yuuzhan Vong vehicles, the tsik vai were grown, rather than built. Each tsik vai was equipped with a collection of whiplike tentacles that were used to capture a target or prey. In shape, the tsik vai resembled a huge seabird or flat searay, with dovin basals studding its body to give it life and propulsion. The neck sac of a tsik vai could be distended to reveal bright red flesh, and was used to signal other craft in the vicinity. The wings of this craft were flexible, and it "breathed" through a set of gills on its flanks, which whistled as it moved through the air. The average length of these vessels was about nine meters, and they required a pilot to operate.
