Trunk Ripper
this large, arboreal mammal inhabited several backwater worlds. They have a prehensile tail that allowed them to move through the branches in search of bugs. They had heavy claws on their forefeet, which they used to tear the bark from trees which are infested by insects. The ripper's long snout enabled it to reach bugs that burrowed deep into the wood of the tree. Although they resembled large birds and could travel from branch to branch in short jumps, their forelegs were incapable of launching them into flight.
