this creature lived in the subartic forests of the planet Troos, making its home in the pinnoc trees and preying on other arthropods. What made these creatures unique was their method of hunting prey. Because their shells were extremely thick and heavy, crebiks would simply hang in the trees and wait for their prey to pass below. The crebik then released its grip and fell like a stone, crushing the prey and breaking open its shell to expose the flesh. Crebiks themselves were immune from attack, since no other creature on Troos could penetrate their own thick shell. Crebiks mated by traveling to the nearby body of water and consuming great quantities of it, causing their bodies to expand and exposing vulnerable flesh. A mating dance ensues, and the crebiks release the water at the end of the ritual. Each crebik had eight legs, the foremost pair being tipped with heavy claws and used like arms. A powerful pair of pincers surrounded their mouths.
