this creature was native to the planet Coyn, and was domesticated by the Coynites for use as a mount. These large, well-muscled, equine creatures had a light brown pelt and six strong legs. Individual tris were paired with young Coynite warriors at ta very early age, in order for both to form a spiritual bond which lasted a lifetime. In the wild, tris were intelligent carnivores. It was illegal to transport specimens off Coyn during the New Order. Thaddeus Ross almost got caught transporting a baby tris to Tatooine, shortly before he took Adalric Brandl to Trulalis.
