Tri-fighter
a form of Uglies, the Tri-fighter was one of the staples of the Invid pirate fleet. It was custom designed from the basic ball-shaped cockpit of a TIE Fighter. Attached to it were three angular blades spaced 120 degrees apart. The bottom two served as landing gear, and the third came up over the cockpit. All wings had cutouts to improve pilot visibility. The standard pair of laser cannons remained, augmented by a third mounted on the upon wing. They also had shields. The New Republic's pilots referred to them as clutches.
