this daughter of Axton Tredway, Dena was an idealistic young woman who met Anakin Skywalker when she was very young. She remembered him as quite handsome, and vowed to live her life as her father and the Jedi Knights would have wanted. She joined the Alliance shortly after the Empire took control of the Sil'Lume Asteroid Belt, and became one of Mon Mothma's closest aides. Her position with the Alliance was troubled when her brother, Erling, became the target of Imperial Governor Sebastian Parnell. Mon Mothma feared that Erling's knowledge of Alliance bases throughout the galaxy - and his perfect recollection of their galactic coordinates -would doom the Alliance. Since Erling was fomenting rebellion in the Sil'Lume Belt, Mon Mothma requested Dena to put an stop to his rebellion. She was unable to to so before Governor Parnell attacked 24 Tredway, killing Dena's mother and capturing Erling while severely injuring Dena in the process. She was rescued by Luke Skywalker, Gideon Smith, and Sidney Shortfang, who took her to Ire Eleazari's asteroid to recover.
