Trauger Gas
known to the native Socorrans as traugi'ha, this gas was named for the bounty hunter Trauger, who came to Socorro looking for a target. The gas is found mainly in the northern polar regions, and is odorless and colorless. It forms when chemicals in the volcanic sand of the planet mix with water, forming a highly corrosive acid during the spring. As the hot summer baked the sand, the water in the acid evaporates, leaving behind the deadly gas. A being caught in a pocket of Trauger Gas will survive for just a few minutes, often just long enough to realize they peril before they expire.
