this Sy Myrthian represented her homeworld as an Old Republic Senator, and was known an idealistic politician who became slowly corrupted by power and wealth. She was known in certain circles as one of the Old Republic's most corrupt Senators during the years leading up to Palpatine's assumption of the role of Grand Chancellor. A large, heavy-set alien with white and gray fur and red eyes, she became exceedingly wealthy by exploiting the many loopholes of the Republic's laws. Toonbuck allied herself with Orn Free Taa and Passel Argente in their opposition of Chancellor Valorum, in the years leading up to the Battle of Naboo. With the growing movement toward secession that permiated the Senate in the years prior to the Clone Wars, Senator Toora convinced Sy Myrth to secede from the Republic, on the heels of the secession of the planet Ando. Her support of secession was hinted at by many followers of the Senate, who noted that Senator Toora was absent from the Senate for more than a month prior to Sy Myrth's secession. She was later observed by Obi-Wan Kenobi on the planet Geonosis, during the meetings that cemented Count Dooku's relationships to the Commerce Guilds, the Trade Federation, the Techno Union, and the InterGalactic Banking Clans.
