Tokmia
this was one of the planets, in addition to Allyuen and Hoth, singled out by Darth Vader as possible hiding places for the Alliance in the Anoat Sector. He ordered probe droids sent there during the months just prior to the Battle of Hoth. Tokmia itself was a tundra world, with vast flatlands covered by snow and ice. A barely sentient race of beings known as the Oku evolved on the planet. Figg Excavations made a fortune from the planet's ores and crystal deposits, and left handouts for the Oku during each operation. When the mines played out, Figg Excavations pulled out of their Tokmia operations. In response, the Oku lit huge fires to act as landing lights, hoping the offworlders would return.
