Thyferran Home Defense Corps
created by Ysanne Isard during her reign on the plane Thyferra, the THDC was created to work in conjunction with the ground-based stormtroopers she used to defend the planet. Isard's plan was to allow the THDC to win a few battles with Ashern rebels, but then let them get in over their head in a large-scale battle. Then, Imperial troops could come in and save the day, making the Thyferrans realize that they are truly dependent on the Empire.
