this Imperial-class Star Destroyer was partially disabled when a shuttle crashed in one of its landing bays, although it was quickly refitted for duty. It was so heavily armed that power was shunted from its hyperdrive core to drive its turbolasers. The modifications to its weapons and power systems made it an incredible threat even without a supporting fleet, and it roamed the Outer Rim during the years before the Battle of Yavin. It often served as the first assignment for many junior officers. The ship was under the command of Captain Tanda Pryl, and later served as part of the fleet assigned to Moff Andal to patrol Elrood Sector. She was often in competition with Akal Zed, as the two Captains struggled to gain favor with their superiors.
