Beggar's Canyon

a great place to fly a skyhopper on Tatooine, Luke Skywalker refined his piloting skills there during the height of the New Order. Located in the Jundland Wastes between the edge of the Northern Dune Sea and Ebe Crater Valley, Beggar's Canyon was named for the hermits who lived there, before they were driven off by Jabba the Hutt. Situated near Ben's Mesa, the canyon was formed from a series of smaller, interconnected canyons which criss-cross the desert, including the Main Avenue, Dead Man's Turn, and the Eye of the Needle. All of these twisting and turning canyons were once the riverbeds of three great rivers that flowed across Tatooine's surface more than 2,000,000 years before the Galactic Civil War. Before Luke Skywalker and his friends used the canyon, it was part of the Mos Espa podracing course. The Canyon later served as a section of the noted Mos Espa Circuit, a swoop racing event held annually during the height of the New Order.
