Luke Skywalker gave the Lars moisture farm to this alien, following the deaths of Owen and Beru Lars. A well-muscled humanoid with a tall, rectangular skull, Throgg was known as one of Tatooine's nastiest spice smugglers. Throgg was the individual Luke discovered through the Force, in the Mos Eisley cantina, shortly after the Battle of Yavin. Throgg told Luke that he had once been a farmer, until the Empire took control of the galaxy and shattered what little peace he had. Despite his initial misgivings about returning to a farmer's life, Throgg accepted Luke's deal and managed the farm for a couple of seasons before Gavin Darklighter's uncle Huff tried to steal the farm by initiating an alien landowner tax. Gavin's father bought the farm before Huff could enforce the tax, and Throgg was able to remain on the farm, albeit as a tenant.
