this strong-willed female warrior conquered the system of stars and planets now known as the Empress Teta System, many millennia before the Galactic Civil War. In what historians refer to as the First Unification Wars, Teta conquered seven major systems and their primary worlds, including the Koros System. She moved her seat of power to the city of Cinnagar, on Koros Major, and ruled with a fair but strict hand some 5,000 years before the Battle of Yavin. She was aided in her unification of the systems by the Jedi Knights, who realized that stability in the region would allow it to join the galactic community and benefit from trade and commerce. She was assisted by Memit Nadill and Odan-Urr, whom she trusted implicitly. So, when Odan-Urr had a vision foretelling the rise of the Sith Empire, Teta believed him and took him to Coruscant to tell the rulers of the galaxy. When they laughed at him and believed him to be an impulsive young Jedi, Teta returned to Cinnagar to prepare her worlds for the attack. Shortly before the Sith rose up, Jori Daragon returned to Cinnagar and was shot down over Teta's palace. The arrival of the frightened young woman only hardened Teta's resolve to protect her worlds. In what became known as the Great Hyperspace War, the Tetan forces - led by Jori Daragon, using information provided by her brother, Gav - soundly defeated the Sith fleet near the Denarii Nova. She rewarded Jori by giving her the rights to own and operate Aarrba the Hutt's starship repair facility. Teta was succeeded by a number of heirs, but over the centuries the government became fragmented.
