a Mon Calamari, and Ackbar's chief starship mechanic. When the Empire invaded Calamari, he was captured and sent to Carida for Imperial reconditioning. While there, his brain was surgically altered to remove loyalty centers. He was then used by the Empire to build star-ships, and was allowed to escape during a Rebel attack. He has been used as an Imperial spy since then. He was responsible for sabotaging Ackbar's B-Wing shuttle, which crashed into the Cathedral of Winds on Vortex. He was also responsible for planting a homing beacon on the ship Ackbar took to the planet Anoth, and he relayed the coordinates to Furgan, who used them in an attempt to kidnao Anakin Solo. A great battle ensued on Anoth, but in the end baby Anakin was rescued. Furgan tried to escape, but Terpfen used one of the MT-AT's to destroy Furgan. Terpfen later returned to Calamari to help rebuild the planet's floating cities.
