this Chadra-Fan was a student of the Force at Luke Skywalker's Jedi praxeum on Yavin 4, training under the tutelage of Cilghal during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy. During the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, Tekli assisted Cilghal on the Eclipse Project before joining the strike team which went to Myrkr to destroy the voxyn queen. She was one of the survivors of the mission to Myrkr, and returned to the planet Calamari to rejoin Cilghal after the loss of Coruscant to the Yuuzhan Vong. Later, when the Imperial Remnant was attacked and Bastion was destroyed, Tekli developed a deep friendship with Saba Sebatyne, who had discovered an ability to read a being's lifesigns through the Force. When Luke Skywalker launched a mission to locate the planet Zonama Sekot, Tekli was assigned to his task force as a healer and medic. Her skills were put to use in an unusual way almost as soon as the mission got started, when Tekli found herself struggling to keep Imperial Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon alive after the Jedi stumbled upon the Battle of Bastion. After the Yuuzhan Vong finally surrendered at Coruscant some five years after the invasion began, Tekli decided to stay on Zonama Sekot with Tahirir Veila, the Ferroans, and the Yuuzhan Vong. She hoped to learn more about the ways in which Yuuzhan Vong Shapers worked with various lifeforms, in an effort to discover new ways to help cure beings throughout the galaxy. Five years later, when UnuThul sent out his call for help, Tekli was among seven young Jedi who dropped whatever mission they were currently on and traveled to the Unknown Regions to answer the call.
