this New Republic Fourth Battle Group fleet was assigned to assist the Fifth Battle Group during the blockade of the Koornacht Cluster, in an attempt to limit the advance of the Yevetha. It was under the command of Commodore Farley Carson. Apex was joined by Blackvine and Keyhole during the initial phase of Operation Strong Hand, and were the first groups of warships to attacke Doornik-319 during the final battle of the Black Fleet Crisis.
