Tarpoon
this heavy, long-shafted spear was a tradition Whiphid weapon. The tarpoon was tipped with a wicked, three-tined blade, and was attached to a length of syntherope. It could be thrown at a target, and the wielder could then retrieve their prey by haulig back on the rope. Many Whiphids have been dragged around by their preyfor several minutes before it tired, in an event which became known as "riding the prey."
