Tarkin's Shears
this form of swoopchasing obstacle was outlawed by the sanctioned racing authority, but nevertheless was popular on non-regulated courses. Based on the Luzitall water obstacle, Tarkin's Shears employed transparisteel pikes imbedded in the outgoing walls of certain hairpin turns. The transparent spikes impaled those racers who came too close to the walls of the ravine while negotiating the turn.
