this was the name of the dense, living forest which covered the planet Zonama Sekot. The original word, tampasi, was Ferroan for forest, the only way the original colonists knew to describe the planet's widespread flora. However, later research indicated that the tampasi was not just a collection of plants, like a forest, but a single, living entity.
