this is the primary planet in the Tallaan System, which is located in Tapani Sector of the Colonies region. Note that the Star Wars Adventure Journal, Issue 7 claims that Tallaan in a younger member of the Core Worlds. Tallaan benefited greatly from its location, being located at the intersection of the Shapani Bypass and the Giju Run. It is the home of one of the oldest shipyards in the galaxy, which was set up around the time of the Great Sith War. During the modern era, these shipyards were overrun by the Empire, and alien slaves were at first removed from their positions as laborers, After the formation of the Guild of Non-Human Skilled Laborers, aliens were allowed to maintain their jobs, and many were imported to perform the labor. A strong cell of Alliance support blossomed on Tallaan, but was never able to remove its Imperial yolk. The Empire officially noted Wilhuf Tarkin's death as a shuttle accident at the shipyards.
